I'm wondering if it would be possible to find a piece of software that could bypass the product info so if it gets corrupted your switch doesn't just turn into a dud because eMMC backups are really large and I think a piece of software would make it a lot safer to mod your switch

If you just concern rawnand backup taking long time, prodinfo partition bakcup takes only 5sec by NxNandManager, why not make a backup before it gets corrupted

Like @jkyoho said, backup your prodinfo but your should also consider 32GB of backup for at least 1 nand backup, just in case something horribly wrong happens.
There is a prodinfo generator iirc somewhere around the net but not sure if it has been updated and if it was working in the first place.

I would like to know where to find this because my things corrupted and I didn't have a backup at the time due to lack of storage

how do you know your prodinfo having issue if you cant even boot up? what happened before it was working

Because it was working I had made emmc backup I had followed atmospheres shitty support thread (they said tldr and this is the second time I had an issue with them) and deleted system files

Normally you couldn't delete emmc partition files.
system partition anyway can be easily rebuild and nothing by no pain.
