ok, first I cant copy .sav files off my microSD (Adata, 1gig, FAT32) to my computer (to edit/store them etc)

when I try to copy the .sav's I get an error window:
error1fn2.png
I can copy roms easily though.

if I try to copy .sav files on my microSD card to the same directory on the card, I get this error:
error2gr9.png
still, after I close the error window, I have a fresh new .sav file with no file size, I figure it copied the face of the file, but none of the data.. so I just delete it.
and like the other error, I can copy roms easily with no problems.

and heres the last error:
I was trying out the SNES emulator for the R4, was pretty crap so I decided to delete it, I could delete everything except the directory and one file in it, I believe the file was made by the emulator to store data for preferences for each snes rom etc
error3pd6.png
I can't open it in notepad/wordpad, it just opens up a new blank document
and if I try to delete it or the entire directory, I get this error:
error4gs4.png
can't copy, rename etc it either

I tried using CMD:
error5ta2.png

I think this is a problem with my computer, and not the microSD because I can copy everything on other computers, I have backed everything up if a solution involves wiping my cart

so guys, please help!

Use a different USB port. The usb at the front of my case gave me that error, used the card at the back and it was gone.

tried using a different port, made no difference so I reformatted it and Im now copying everything back on it on another computer, I'll let you know if it works better in about 10 mins

Are you using the card reader that came with the R4? I had a couple of weird problems with the one that came with my M3 Simply(clear blue case & blue LED), but nothing that consistant. I got a real card reader and have never had a problem with it.

Ive gotten rid of the weird snes file and put everything else back on the cart
I still cant copy .sav files around on the cart or to my computer tho
i still get this error:
error2gr9.png

just out of curiousity, what kind of computer do you have? cuz i tried setting up my friends r4, and he gets those errors too. but not just .sav, .nds files too. he just has to manage it on his brothers computer. but im thinking its his usb...computer.. weak PSU.. something

hes using an 5 year old amd computer.

I used to have that problem - in my case it was bad SD. If you can copy roms though, did you try zipping the .savs or something and transferring them?

Have you tried using the command line to copy them off? If so, what was the error message you got? I know there's a picture of the command prompt in your initial post, but if that picture is showing what you actually typed in the command prompt then you need to google a how-to on basic dos commands.
