Hacking Problems with SSBB

First of all I have 1.9g wiikey and my wii firmware is 3.2u

I just burned Brawl with Nero at 4x using Verbatim DVD+R DL

When i first put in the game it asked for the update and i did it and then it booted up and it got to a black screen and said error 001

I just checked and SMG and Japanese Brawl still work no error 001 so im really stumped and would appreciate any help

did you do the layer break when burning?

Im not sure but i thought i read somewhere that i didnt have to do a layer break with wiikey

might as well set layer break if you can, verbatim dvd+r dl look very much like it can

did you brick block smash ntsc ? you have to update and it wont hurt same region game and wii, but if you really dont want to do 15% trick or patch the update with this 4in1
