Hacking Problems with R4

Hi, I recently bought a new DS Lite after one of the screens of my old one stopped working, but my R4 is not working on the new DS. The same card still works on the old DS and my other games are working fine on the new one, but whenever I try the R4 I get the "no DS card inserted" screen. Any idea what could cause this?

The card is a R4SDHC with the latest firmware (1.34). Both DSes are Lite, but the new one is refurbished.

maybe the connection between NDSL and R4 isn't well.
do you have another flashcarts? you can try another one,
the flashcarts' size isn't the same
