Gaming Problems with PSP Video Cable

Ok. so I bought that S-video cable. I connected that to my tv (I tried on two tv's) but only thing I can see is a menu. Whenever I want to play a game I have a message that I can't do it. What's wrong? Is there any way to avoid that...?

If i'm not mistaken, games can only be played on HDTVs with the component cable. But you should be able to watch movies with your setup.
