So I bought a DS Lite wanting to play games. I saw that the R trigger was broken and not working. I tried many ways to fix it, like blowing, cleaning, all that; in the end, it didn't work. I am thinking about soldering a new one onto it, but before I do, is there a sure way to make sure I don't break it in the process, or to not do it at all? Are there any games that I like that I can't play on it, or that it plays with difficulty, to see if I should do it or not? Thanks in advance

Hello everyone. I decided to create small restoration tweak patches to address ROM hacks that have frame rate cap removal tweaks applied. While I personally don't mind the uncapped frame rate tweaks that some hacks contain, I also know that such a tweak isn't practical in its current form. Some users have asked me for frame rate cap restoration cheats, so here I am offering something more practical instead. The games were not designed for anything past 30 frames per second, as such, when the frame rate cap is removed, the games end up running as fast as the hardware allows for in a given moment, and fluctuates often depending on the circumstances in-game, feeling more like speed hacks rather than a properly scaled frame rate experience. This will seem like a positive result for a lot of people, until precision is necessary, and the games are running too fast for that to be easily feasible. In order for such direct tweaks to actually be practical, sensible, and usable, the games would need to be redesigned to account for the frame rate increases, and optimized heavily. So realistically, you are just better off sticking to the original frame rate, if you want a functional, practical, experience. If you don't want the original frame rate cap applied, these patches are not for you. Note(s): - These patches will work with majority of binary based ROM hacks (traditional style ROM hacks) that have the frame rate cap removal tweak applied. ROM hacks that are altered and or built using decompilation projects are not guaranteed to work with these patches. Results may vary depending on the changes made to the game code by the respective ROM hack developer(s). In the event this happens, you may request for a patch here, and I can create one whenever I am available to do so (the thread post will be updated as well with the inclusion of said patches). Hacking problems with my case relacement...

I got about 85% done with my case replacement and now when i try to power it up the lower screen flashes for an instant and then shuts down. I check the touch screen and top lcd connections and they seem perfectly fine...Can anyone help?

This sounds just like that ribbon cable didn't fit well enough into it's socket..
It might seem like it did, but you have to push it all the way, and align it properly, be sure you locked it in the place too!

Just check all the connections, that is the most sensitive part!
