Right, already have IOS37 on the root of my sd so I'll use that, plus the info you gave me means I can play more games...so seems like the waaay better option!
Just delete the old wad manager off my sd and put the new one on? No installation of the wad manager?

Nope. Nothing just replace and you are ready for the next thing you want to install with it.

Since you are done the guide I told you to do you will probably have the following in your Wii Menu (one with the channels)

- USB loader
- NeoGamma R9 Beta 24
- Homebrew Channel

Am i correct?

Yep, got Neogamma, wii usb loader and homebrew
Done the update you said. Now do I just replace the boot.dol file in the wad manager folder?

Yep.

Since you updated your IOS249 now, get your Monster Hunter Tri disc and put it in the Wii. Load it with NeoGamma. I'm not sure if your MH3 is PAL or NTSC (probably PAL because you are in the Europe Region) but just look in the options to find "Force Region: " and change it to PAL. Also quickly check if it is using IOS249 to load the game... IOS249 should be default anyways.

Right, couldnt find my monster hunter tri game so tried world cup south africe instead - comes up with dvd error. And the only option that allows me to pick out of nstc and pal is force video - do I change that from disc to pal480i or pal480p? Yes it's running on ios249 rev 19

Is your TV HDMI? If it is choose PAL480p if it isn't then i. Doesn't really make a difference. Play around with the settings. Probably the only reason it won't work is because you have a D3-2 disc drive in your Wii. The only way you can play games is with a Hard Drive. (Darkcorp is the thing that allowed you to play DVD's in the disc channel.)

Got it the other way around. Edited.

I dont run my wii of HDMI channel, my sky runs of that. And do I use that setting everytime I wanna play a game?

It will automatically save so you won't have to do anything the next time you play. Anyways as I said, play around with the settings to try to get it working, if not (like me) then you should get a Hard Drive.

BTW, what error are you getting? If you are getting errors 1048, 1053 & 1101 then you have the new D3-2 drive.

Well the last one I got was 1269, playing about with the settings just now, seems I can get so far then it says 'disc cannot be read'...yet I have other games that work perfectly through the disc channel

Humm... that could mean a bad rip / bad burn. What speed did you burn it at?

EDIT: Did you install DVDx when you used Bannerbomb?

Gonna go a bit off topic from where you was with Kryptical, but when you installed darkcorp you said your burned fifa didnt work from the disc channel but other games did? If this is the case you had a bad rip/burn of fifa and its really that simple. If your still having issues with fifa world cup PM me and i will send you a working copy to try, if that fails then you have further problems. BTW as i said before tesco dvd-r are fine, i use them all the time, also you dont need any new IOS as the fifa game runs on the same as IOS as it did when it first came out as fifa 2008, if you have an older version test that, if an older one works then its most definatley a bad rip / burn.

I went to burn it at the slowest speed 2x. Yes I did install DVDX.
I had Fifa 2010 - it worked perfectly. I remodded my wii then I started screwing around with things I didnt understand trying to get Monster Hunter Tri to work. Ever since then it hasn't worked. I also did Africa World Cup 2010 and that wont work. Will keep playing about with the settings a bit, re-download fifa again and see if it works.

Humm.. that is weird. I don't know how to fix this problem. Usually showing that error means that you have a new D3-2 Disc Drive so you won't be able to play backup discs with your Wii... but then you said the other discs work so that means you don't and you should be able to fix it by burning the game again.

Re-downloaded it and re-burnt the game - comes up with error 1269 on neogamma.
So fiddled about with the settings and it gets past the screen where it tells you about safety advice - then soon after that - before I even smell the actual game it comes up The disc cannot be read.

Did you try another game?

I won't be able to respond for around 5 hours after I get back from my school exam so if someone could take over for me for awhile that will be great.

Right, was going through my games to see which were working and which weren't - what I noticed was -

On the games that work, on the actual CD it had 8x on it
On the ones that didn't work, they had 16x written on it.

Would this make any difference??

It does make a difference, but I'm not sure what. I can't provide more information on burning discs as I don't play games via discs.

Just a tip, but when you make a post and want to post more right after that, just edit your post instead of double posting.

Sorry about that
