ROM Hack Problems Formatting Gameshark codes for NDSGBA on NDS

Hi, I have the super card DStwo and run the NDSGBA. I am having problems with using gameshark codes on it, I tried to enter them using a notepad file saved as a .cht like you can do with PAR codes for the SFC, but the codes do not work. Do i have to format them like the pro action replay codes? If so how do you do that, the PAR codes all seem to have a common bank address at the beginning that you omit, but the gameshark codes are all different. I realize that my question probably seems dumb to those of you who know how to do this stuff and I seem like a total idiot; but I would seriously appreciate any help you can offer.

the codes I am trying to use are for Metroid zero mission, they are:

Equip/Remove all Items [North America]
Equip all Items:
Activate: Select, UP
