Hacking Problems converting Pokemon Pearl savegame

I am trying to convert my Pokemon Pearl savegame from my M3 Lite Perfect to R4DS/M3DS Simply, but so far all I get is "The save file has been erased due to corruption or damage."

I have used both the online savegame converter (http://www.shunyweb.info/index.php) and the tools provided by M3/R4 without any success.

Any hints? I have noted that the savegame is 513kB, as opposed to the usual 257kB size.

the reason it's double the size is that pokemon has a larger save file to most games.

but your converted file should be 512kb.

Try again, maybe it didn't patch properly or something.

Although i can't say i've tried this conversion (m3 to r4) before

Every time I try to convert directly from m3 lite to m3 simply the game complains about corrupted savegame. It will occassionally let me choose my game, but the screen will blank and the game will reset when I do so.

I tried converting it to G4 DS Real, then converting to M3 Simply from there. It worked, but after rebooting the console a few times I got the savegame corrupted error again...

It works like a charm after reformatting the MicroSD card. Weird, did not strike me that this could be the cause...
