Hardware Problem with Samsung evo 250 gb card

brought a new Samsung Evo Plus 250 gb card I seriously can’t go more than two min with out getting error messages . Bought from jb hifi which is probably aus largest electronic store so I’m 99 percent sure it’s a legitimate card , must have formatted it 5 times now . However I have a smaller 64 gb SanDisk works fine , isn’t there a program that can check sd cards , just using SX Pro ..

Even big stores can end up with fakes here in Scotland our biggest supermarket chain Asda got a huge delivery of fake SanDisk sd card by accident. Luckily someone noticed before they got delivered to stores so its not impossible you have a fake.

Perform a low-level wipe with SD Card Formatter, make sure to select Overwrite mode and adjust the format size.

Sounds like you got a dud and should have it replaced immediately if it still has a warranty. Also try letting the switch or other programs like sdformatter format your card and try again, if it still does errors then have it replaced.

if the "deal" was too good to be true then there's usually a "catch" you know??

You should go back where you bought it from and tell them that there is a problem with the card.

I also have problems before - it shold be formated with 64 kb or sth... I do not remember for shure , You also could check card with h2testw app

Cluster size shouldn't cause issues, it just has a small effect on speed. I would definitely recommend running h2testw on it though just to rule out it being a fake or faulty card.
