Hacking Problem with Preloader v0.29

hi tj cool, i'll reformat my sd card again using fat32 after backing it up. as for my ios settings, here they are:

autoboot: file
return to: preloader
everything off
system menu ios: 70

i just got my wii yesterday. 4.2u. didn't update or anything.

Please answer the question in my prev post
and tell us your system menu version (before it bricked)

Also, if it doesn't find the SD, you might try reformatting it (make a backup of its contents first!)

Hi tj_cool,

the same thing happened to me... I was on 4.2E and tried to install preloader and now the only thing that it does is go back to preloader and/or if i want to go to the system menu i get the same picture as "chester charm"...

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

perhaps there's too much crap on my sd card? on the root, i got the apps folder, bootmii folder, private folder, wad folder, boot.dol, boot.elf, hacks.ini

on the load/install page of preloader did you press 1 to load file from sd card if you didn't would you try again but press 1

ok, i've made progress. i went out and bought a sandisk 2gb card. now it reads the card. i now got 3.0 preloader on. but what should i do now?

i'm still at a preloader screen how do i get back to the system menu?

ok, i'm back to normal. thanks you guys. i just used the option to remove the preloader and get load the system menu again. i think i'm experiencing a lot of issues mainly because i got the newer wii and also because i've been using incompatible sd sticks. good grief.

i'd hate to start another thread. does anybody know the appropriate guide for going about usbloaders for 4.2u? i'd hate to have another problem.

Hi Chester Charm,

could you please explain how you removed preloader and installed the system menu?
I am stuck as well on the preloader and when I try to load the system menu from there then it will give me the same error message.

Please help!!!!

press + to install

press - to uninstall

or you can just install a system menu WAD and it will remove it automatically.
