Hi
I'm getting problems to play online in Modern Warfare 3, it's not the Wii connection as WiiConnect24, Internet Channel, and other online based games works just fine.

The problem is that the game keeps in the "Trying to join game screen", it seems can't join to any game, below it keeps searching for players all the time but nothing happens.

I wonder if someone has experienced this problem, and could help me to solve it. Thanks =)

What is your Nat type? Being Strict can make it hard to join games.
Also try putting your wii into the DMZ of your router. That also helps some in connnecting.

Nat is the connection to the MW3 online service. Can help with ping and connection. Being open is good so that means you are not being restricted.

Before you join a specific lobby it is also a good idea to see how many people are playing that particular game mode. If you see that there are only a few then joining games will be hard because a lobby may be full or that other users don't have the ability to host a lobby therefore can't connect to you or others unless you have the connection type that can be lobby host.

Try creating a second profile and go online with it and see if you can connect.

Is it possible that Activision has caught on to hacked Wii's going online with MW3? This is unnerving; I will test if I can still connect up as soon as I get home from work lol

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
