Hacking Problem updating r4i-sdhc ?

Hi,

I purchased an r4i-sdhc 3ds v5.0 (www.r4i-sdhc.com) which came with the 1.69b firmware/kernel. I never updated my card since I only used it on my ds but i have a 3ds now so i'd like to update it.

My 3ds came with the latest 7.2 firmware which the site says my card can support so I downloaded the new kernel (v1.8), extracted it, formatted the micro sd, and put the new kernel files on it but when I stick the card in my ds its says fake card please return to retailer and in my 3ds it says an error has occured. I know its a real card because it had the official proof sticker.

I've been searching for days for help, I eventually created an account here just for this issue. Please help me guys!

I've had the same problem, but the solution I've got can be upgraded only for 3DS fw5.0.0-x (However, you can downgrade your 3DS with Gateway)
