Hacking Problem Updating Flashcart Firmware

Hi everyone!
Umm, I'm having a problem updating my flashcart firmware because I can't use it on my DSi due to my DSi's firmware being updated. I have an another R4i Gold flashcart that works just fine, so I was wondering if I could update the firmware of the other flashcart using this one. I tried copying the update file to the working flashcart and then running it and swapping the flashcart with the other but the process stops after a while.

So is there any other way to upgrade the firmware of the NDSiLL flashcart using the working R4i Gold flashcart.

Btw, I currently have no access to any other DS.

The only known work around if you don't have access to a DS or DSL is to have a Action Replay DSi and load your R4i that way and update your R4i after it loads.

You will likely also have to update the AR DSi's firmware before you do this since it suffers from the same thing.

The cart swap trick doesn't work on the DSi or 3DS, no.
