Hardware Problem uninstalling Photo Channel 1.1

I can't seem to remove Photo Channel 1.1 from my channel menu. I can effectively delete it in 'data management', but when I come back to my list of channels the icon remains and the application still runs. I have tried re-downloading it from WiiShop and uninstalling again, but no luck there.

Are there alternatives to uninstalling something like this (without formatting my system memory)?

you can only remove the update, the channel will always be there

For serious? I could have sworn it wasn't there when I got the system.

Photo Channel never goes away? Bummer.

I dont know that photo channel can be removed...but I could be wrong, I dont have a Wii.

It is said that removing Photo Channel 1.1 will revert your Photo Channel to 1.0. Mine too remains at 1.1 even if I remove the update.

You can hide the channel on the far right of the Wii Menu by holding down B+A on the channel itself, and then move it. The only problem is that if you actually have a lot of stuff, this won't really work. Either way, you won't be able to get rid of it.
