Im on firmware 6.2 and recently switched from the latest SXOS to the latest Atmosphere (0.8.4) and I'm having issues loading certain games (so far NSMBUD and Tales of Vesperia). When I switch back to SXOS they seem to load fine for some reason. I've already tried updating my sig patches as well as deleting and reinstalling said titles under Atmosphere. Is there something I'm doing incorrectly?

It's likely that your copies are bad XCI conversions. Do you have the real eShop NSP? What's the file name?

Oh, well Tales of Vesperia was install from an xci file using SXOS so that's probably the issue with that one. I guess I'll redownload NSMB and try that.

Many XCI conversions are bad. Make sure you have FS patches as well as ES patches and make your conversions, when you have to convert as opposed to using eShop dumps, using 4NXCI.

Considering I'm new to Atmosphere, whats the difference between ES and FS? I downloaded from here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/i-heard-that-you-guys-need-some-sweet-patches-for-atmosphere.521164/

If you downloaded the ones in the OP, you have both. ES patches allow you to run eShop games. FS patches allow you to run custom NSPs (Retroarch, etc) and XCI conversions.

Check your SD card for /Atmosphere/exefs_patches/es_patches/. If that folder exists and has a bunch of files in it, you have ES patches. The ones that matter for 7.0 and 7.0.1 are F65FBA401BAC3CDDEA4917DE22E8B426B3A6C3AD and D2D2430244D162C9FAABE8C89A58C6E3962160F1.

Check for /Atmosphere/kip_patches/fs_patches/. If that folder exists and has a bunch of files in it, you have FS patches. The ones that matter for 7.0 and 7.0.1 are 2ADBE97E9B5F41779EC95FFE2699C93305D6A69D465CF597D67465CD69BACCE8 and 2CCE659CEC536A8E4D91F3BE4B74BED302613F1E442581FD863708E39112DB50.

Yup I have all those. Sounds like your right about bad conversions then
