Hacking Problem getting M3 Real to read user cheats

I'm having trouble getting my own cheats list onto the M3 Real device.

I created a usrcheat.dat file which the Real can't read for some reason. Then I read where user cheats have to be .cht, .dht or .xml but it's not enough to simply rename the file although the Real found the file when I labeled it .dht but the cheat came up as one choice written in Chinese characters for some reason so I didn't touch it.

The Real will find the file as a .db (like the cheat file they furnish) but can't find any codes in the file.

I have tried placing the file with all these diiferent format names in both the card root and the "system" folder but to no avail.

Has anyone figured out what needs to be done to get their own cheats to work?

Yes. This is what I do.

I Use Action Replay Code Manager to download the xml files then use CheatCode Combiner for G6M3 to combine them and save it as the db file. I then replace the cheat.db in the system directory with my own one. This works for me.

You will have to google the CheatCode Combiner for G6M3 as the M3 site seems to be down a lot.
