hey,

i've been using PrixM's WBFS program loading onto a USB stick, things have been well.

i'm hoping to format an external 80gb usb hdd, but when i try to format for WBFS with the program it states:
- floa oint support not loaded
runt ror R6002

.... any suggestions? hardrive not compatible? another program that might work?

i'm running on windows xp, i've tried wbfs manager 3.0 but it crashes when i try to start the program.

thanks for any help!

yes, that is the one that once i install it and try to open it crashes.... not sure why...
are there common issues with formatting larger drives to wbfs?

edit: although, i've only found a download for version 3.0 of the wbfs manager by alexdp, if there is a 3.5 do you have a link?

PrixM's WBFS Manager doesn't use .Net Framework.
It will change nothing to install 2.5 or 3.5

Does it crash only when formating ?
if yes, then it's not PrixM but wbfs_win.exe dos command ?

You may try to format with a Manager which doesn't use wbfs_win.exe but a recoded internal version.
Here are some (not all, not up to date list) WBFS managers you could try :

take a look in the Wii forum section, there are few more currently in development.

I googled your error :
floating-point support not loaded
runtime error R6002

I found a website saying it's an incorrect installation/uninstallation process for another program.
They give a software to scan the registry and clean it, but I don't know if it's true, if it's a good software or not and I didn't test it.
I give you the link and let you decide what to do :

maybe you could search the web a little more to see if you can find user comments to know if it's a good software (the link doesn't provide any user's comment)

thanks for all the replies!
it must have been a bug in the program... figured this after i tried reformatting a usb stick that worked before, which gave me the same error.
a simple re-installation fixed the issue! had another problem with prixm's program though... trying out Pier-Luc Duchaine's wbfs - which is working well!
