Hacking Priiloader Shortcut Channel!

Hey XFlak! If you've got some extra time, how about creating a silent system menu shortcut channel/dol from the new rev of Priiloader?

Hey guys, in case anyone wants it, I made a priiloader Forwarder ISO, must be launched using one of hermes cios's and must have priiloader v0.2 or higher to work (thanks to Tristar for giving me the pointers I needed to get this done!)

Hi there,

I've got a small problem here running PriiLoader 0.6: when I try to choose "Load/Install File" from within PriiLoader it will just show a blank (black, as I switched from white to black theme via settings) screen. There's no USB device attached but an SD card with a WiiFlow forwarder dol (orchid.dol) inserted.

Any ideas how to solve this? Thanks!

In previous versions it always first showed up the contents of the SD card and then I chose the .dol-file I wanted it to install, no need to name it boot.dol.

And as I said, it just goes blank as soon as I pick "Load/Install file" and not when I choose to run an installed file via "Installed file".

Usually priiloader doesn't stay in the SD card, so is it copied into the nand?

If I want to use this with my Wii priiloader v0.6, should I only use the files in folder 'Priiloader Shortcut (Silent Mod)', excluding magicword.dol? Or do I need the 'Priiloader' folder files?

Either install the Priiloader SILENT Shortcut Channel - PRII.wad or save the Priiloader Forwarder in your apps folder on the sd card or usb. If you install the channel, you can forward to priiloader without an sd card in the Wii. If launching the priiloader forwarder app from the HBC, u obviously need it saved to either the SD card or the USB HDD. Note that in either case u will still always be able to access priiloader by holding reset when the wii is powering up. U don't need everything else.

But this forwarder app runs priiloader installed?

What I was expecting was a channel forwarder for the priiloader installed in the Wii (in my case, priiloader v0.6). I'm a bit confused about this, I have to admit...

Priiloader is installed to your real nand.

All the priiloader forwarder channel does restart your wii with the "magic word" so that your wii thinks the reset button is held (this probably isn't how it actually works, but its a good enough explanation for u to get the idea).

So the Priiloader SILENT Shortcut Channel - PRII.wad is a full channel in the traditional sense because it does not forward to an app on the sd card or the usb hard drive. But it is not priiloader itself (ie. installing the shortcut channel will not install priiloader). All the channel does is reset your wii and load priiloader (whatever version u have installed as long as it is >= v0.2) instead of the system menu.

And the exact same thing applies to the HBC app, the only difference is that one is saved to the sd card and the other is saved to the wii.
