I don't mind people mirroring my stuff, but can anyone reading this please at least try to download from my links before trying a mirror plz? If it doesn't work then go ahead and use a mirror, but I prefer people using my links (just because I desperately need the points I get when ppl download my files)

thanks, and no worries, I know how rapidshare can be a bitch to free users, if I were in your shoes I wouldn't keep retrying the same link all day either, but I appreciate you at least trying mine first

on a side note, as far as I know rapidshare is still the only site offering points for when people download your files, if some1 knows of another site that offers points like this, plz let me know!

my apologies, I use so many different source wads when creating my channels (mixing and matching banners, icons and music) that sometimes I get a bit confused. I've edited the first post crediting your work as a base for mine.

PS. I like your Wad manager channel from the above link, I think I am going to modify it slightly (just remove the 1.4 and any signatures so its generic, replace the sounds with one I prefer and probably insert a complex forwarder dol).

EDIT: Finished making that wad (I really like how it turned out), not sure if i'm going to make a post for it yet, eventually I'll probably start a thread w/ all my fav channels

Awesome! Thanks for this! So the file that is named boot.dol when I download it is actually rev48 and this is the one I should install? I have a softmodded 4.2. You said to install through HBC instead of Wad Manager to be safer?

You cannot install priiloader through wad manager, you can install the priiloader shortcut channel through wad manager, you still need to install priiloader via the HBC for the shortcut channel to work!

Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. Works awesome, but I'm fairly new to Priiloader and the various hacks. Some of them are self-explanatory, but what are these for:

Remove NoCopy Save File Protection
Recovery Mode (DISABLE below hack first)
Recovery Mode press Dpad-R on GC pad 4P
Disable HAXX, DVDX, RZDx deletion
Force Wifi Connection Test Failure (not sure why someone would want that?)
Blackscreen at Wii System Menu startup

Thanks a lot!! So now that I have Priiloader installed, would it be included when I do a NAND backup? To tell you the truth, I don't really know what backing up the NAND does and I've thankfully never had to resort to one but I heard it's pretty important in case you brick your Wii somehow.

Bundle Updated today (January 23, 2010)

Changes include:

I've slightly MODIFIED the magicword.dol and inserted into the channel
(the mod will now launch Priiloader SILENTLY without having to get up and hold reset.
It will no longer show text saying "the magic word is xxxxxxx" and "resetting", instead it will behave just like the video in the first post)

Now the bundle includes the Silent Priiloader Channel and silent homebrew channel

I also added Bootmii_Booter.dol and the HomeBrew (JODI) forwarder boot.dol to the bundle (see first post for a description of what these do)

I've also updated the youtube video on the first post

This thread is the closest to have the answer to my question, but not 100%.. Maybe you guys could help me.

I have Priiloader v0.2 rev 30 installed, downloaded from here: http://code.google.com/p/priiloader/downloads/list

All is working great but one thing. The autoboot to system menu feature is flaky and most often not working. I have found other posts saying it's a bug that has been fixed in rev 45 (and newer)

So, I would like to upgrade.

The readme for 0.3b version says
Press (+) to install or update Preloader.

Excellent! But it also says:
You need the ios used to installed patched with ES_DIverify & trucha ( in most cases you ran the installer from Homebrew channel so that should be IOS36). if using IOS249(in most cases this is CIOS) then dont worry about the patches.

The problem is, I have done all kinds of modifications and installs with the cIOS:es (and IOS:es?) (e.g. installing Waninkokos and Hermes stuff).

My question is. Can I do this upgrade risk free? Or should I take any precaution actions first?

If anyone could shed some light on this I'd appreciate it.

Oh, and I'm on 4.2 and can not install to boot2.

If the IOS you use to install Priiloader doesn't have the right patches, it will exit without doing anything (it may give u some error msg, but no worries). So basically, u can try installing with "+" or with "B & +" and worst case it will fail and no changes will be done to your wii

Most people have IOS249 installed (even if they don't want to admit it), presumably you do also. If you're not sure, there is no harm in reinstalling it.

Holding B and pressing + to install uses IOS249, and since most people have this cIOS, I recommend holding B and pressing + to install

the alternative, simply pressing + to install, uses IOS36, works most of the time but it varies from wii to wii (depending on how IOS36 has been patched)
