Hacking preloader feature

I thought of this last night after spending 1hr looking for my wii controller, wouldn't it be good if while in preloader menu if you hit reset on wii it would make your wii remote speaker play a sound thus helping you locate it
 
The solution to your problem:

Put wrist strap around your wrist.
Slide and close the clip.
Lift both hands when wiimote is needed.
Look at your left hand ---> Wiimote is dangling from your wrist. PRESTO !! (if not continue reading)
Look at your right hand ---> Wiimote is dangling from your wrist. PRESTO !!

why don't you just put them on/next to the wii??
well that argument could be made for people who lose their remotes to their tv's and yet that happens all the time.
