If I had to choose between voiding my warranty and waiting a day. I'd wait a day.

(I've decided that I won't type my password today. I'll just have to be logged into whatever I"m already logged into.)

Did you try manually syncing the Wiimote, pressing the red button in the SD slot, and then press the rod button under the battery cover of the Wiimote? Did you try other Wiimotes?
If all else fails.....wait a day

My wiimote can sync. I just have to press A and I can see the preloader.
everytime I get back to the preloader this message comes up again, but my wiimote always sync, so I can pass it everytime.

just curious, how long the shop warranty your wii ? considering you do need to replace battery in the future.

I have a Europe Launch Wii and havent needed to replace the battery??

You might also want to try unpluging your Wii for a few seconds and plugging it back in and trying the sync again.

I take my wiimote and sync with my friends' wii and come back to my home and got this joke and can't re-sync it

thanks for every reply
Now i solve this problem by remove battery and replace it again it' reset wii date that make joke gone.

I think crediar is extreemly irrisposible with this joke, surley it would have occured to himt hat it would cause people to think there was a genuine problem and hence end up f***ing their Wii's up attempting to fix it, i already heard reports yesterday of several people bricking their wii's trying to get around this.

If he wanted to to a stupid joke like this it should have been time limited like after 10 seconds come up with april fools then continue normal operation, however essentially temporarily bricking the wii for a day is just irrisponsible imo.

I would suggest a complaint campaign of sending emails/pms of annoyance at him however there is a danger he'd never release antoher pre-loader.

This is rather annoying to me as i wanted on my Wii today but this stupid day that turns people into smeg heads has spoiled it.

Worst day of the frelling year.

And theres a stupid "system menu is corrupted joke" too the first tiem you load the system menu from pre-loader, i had to turn off wii to get out of that but it doesnt do that now apparently jsut a one off.

so for anyone who wants past this "joke" more like bad taste , press a to skip past the repairing message and reset if you get the system menu is corrupted message and reload and youll be in the menu.

Assuming you dont have the syncing bug mentioned above

As far as I've heard only 1 person has Bricked their Wii....and that was by deleting an IOS....IOS60 to be exact, something no one should even do regardless, you cant blame this joke for that.

Many people are fine with the joke and just press A or whatever to continue with using their Wii. Dunno whats going on with your Wii saying its Corrupt??

I think its a great joke, and it serves people right if they brick their Wii's trying to fix it, using their own made-up methods, thinking they know better.

all you have to do to get past the preloader april fools joke is load it up and when you get stuck press EVERY BUTTON on wii remote at the same time and bobs ur uncle. hope that cheers you all up and stops noobs destroying anything lol

I'm sorry, but this +++++++++1 for me.

I just post this topic for warning someone that maybe has problem like me .
You can remove your wii battery and return back to reset your wii system date.

I like this joke but my wiimote can't sync that make me mad ^^
