It might be your firewall, other problems may be caused by using a Hotspot and not the actual router

Hey! I was recommended using this app and I got excited at the idea of being able to install CIAs in my Old 3DS without having to insert the SD in the computer. However I'm not being able to make it work. Here's a photo and an screenshot.

I was trying to install an Star Fox CIA I created in order to test this out.

Not sure what's going on. I have my Firewall turned off, I'm using the correct IPs and 3DS port and Python is in PATH, FBI is up to date, plus I got very close to the router and it still won't work. Help?

Does it happen with every cia file?

I was watching your image and I saw that you has a folder named "made by me" I don't know if that means that you modified the cia file or if you just dumped the game.

One thing that captures my attention is that the database couldn't recognize the game, is that Virtual Console or is a cia of a ROM made by you?

Just tried installing an official VC CIA with it, Super Mario Bros. (which it actually recognized), but no luck.

Those are CIAs I made with the NSUI. The one I was trying to install is a CIA of a ROM made by me (actually a forwarder to the SNES9x emulator as I have an Old 3DS that won't support the regular SNES VC games). Still, I have no trouble installing those manually.

Ok it may be something with the router or the port 5000, you could try port 8080 (just change the number in the app)

I know is not the best option but, you could try another router, maybe there is a incompatibility with it

Didn't work and now only the router option is left. Will have to try this at a friend's house for that. Nonetheless, thank you much for the replies!

Sorry I couldn't help, there is a lot of variants in this, so it's hard to know exactly what happens always

But i keep getting the 10060 error on some .cia (Like Super Smash Bros.), is there a solution?
Also, the speed is really bad sometimes, a 250mb .cia took almost 2 hours to get transferred, is that a problem with my router?

FBI doesn't have a transfer limit

That's weird then because i tried to install a cia that was 4.5 gigs and it failed with the error "file size limit reached"
Ps. Sorry for the extremely late reply lol

Downloaded it and it wasn't corrupted! Maybe your antivirus is blocking it? Because somehow some antivirus detect it as a virus

Errors like that is something that I can't fix until it happens to me, sorry, and well, the speed can be slow because of your PC, router or your 3DS model. Old 3DS is slow, reaching 512Kbps aprox, new 3DS reaches 1Mb aprox
