PPSSPP on Switch Issue

Trying to run ppsspp on switch for the first time and the screen is cut off for both games and the system menu. And there is no stretch to display option. Any idea on how to fix this issue for the switch version of ppsspp? Thanks.

Also I noticed there is no vulkan option. Only OpenGL. Will the switch version eventually acquire this backend too?

PS: the full screen option is checked.

Try to change your screen size in settings.
Also the ppsspp switch build is very old and buggy, it crashes very often and performance is poor iirc. Android version is much better imo, but you do need to flash android to use it.

Any risk of flashing android to switch and somehow causing the system to crash? Just nervous about the idea of potentially losing sd card data or even save data if a crash were to occur.

Also does the flashing, or any other step, cause all data currently on the sd card to be deleted?

Re-partitioning the sd card will erase everything on it. Also imo you should at least assign 32gb partition for android, so might be a good time to upgrade your sd card.

I tried run ppsspp standalone version yesterday. And those are results.
Silent Hill Shattered Memories lags
Silent Hill Origins lags.
I only wanted play those two games on switch. Nothing more. Cause my old Xiaomi Pocophone F1 with snapdragon 845 can handle almost all psp games without lags. Really? PSP emulator on switch is that horrible?

I think its just bad luck to you that the 2 games you want to play do not run great on PPSSPP switch, every other games you throw at it is full-speed at 2-3X resolution and with 60fps hacks activated. But for some games you do have to OC, GPU and CPU to get 2-3X res at full speed.
