I am testing it on fw 12.10 and atmoshpere 1.0.

It opens and seems to work just fine.
I cant test usb (i dont have dock)
If networks works i’ll post the 3.5 compiled.

The file is to large to be uploaded. too bad i have to upload somewhere.
Local files plays OK.
USB not tested but i think the will work (compiled aginst the last libusbhsfs)
Network seems not working (but i have to deep test it, maybe only some small changes nedded)

Ok sorry for the rar parts but was to largo for a single archive.
Test it and give some feedback.
Is the 3.5 with only scraper removed. (i dont like it and i don't want to gereate an api key just to have the scraper)

Network is working if started in debug mode.
Strange.
I think that the author is working on this and probably it will be aa release soon.

for the diff between 3.5 and older version i think is an ffmpeg releated issue since it ffmpeg that opens the ftp stream (very slow to start)

That's questionable. The dev "only" shows up every now and then. He did an amazing job but is then away for months always again.

Did anyone call Enigma2 here? This is what i have been waiting for..here I am. I have an Dreambox One with Newnigma2-daily 2021-10-05 Image (4.5.1r8-56-gdfc8a-2021-08-26).

If you have something to test, I have time. I use latest SX OS. But i have to say that i haven't done anything with the switch in what feels like 2 years, so i'm not up to date on alternative things like atmosphere etc. You'll have to guide me here.

Got Video play from Enigma2, it was easy as mpv is based on ffmpeg.
I have to cleanup stuff and is ready for release!


This is Italian Providers from a ZGemma decoder running OpenATV (Enigma2)
All stuff works using openwebif api (that is used by all e2 decoders i think)

Also resolved issue with networks. now it should works also on non debug mode.

Now i came up with a problem, how to versioning the release.
Any suggestion?

I think something like 3.5-mod1 or similar.

Doesn't work for me. Probably using different Webinterface.

Besides that is it possible to use non standard webif port plus user/password implementation?
Have you tried to stream a 4:2:2 ts to see how smooth the picture is?

We tested your fork with the kids, but the FTP is unusable slow, like the original Pplay 3.5. The last good & fast FTP is Pplay 2.1, but it needs to recompile, because latest Atmosphere.

Yes i found it also very slow. I have to understand wherr is the issue. I dont think is into the ftplib but i think is inside mpv (ffmpeg part) the way it looks at the stream. Ftp is not a seekable protocol and i belive ffmpeg want to look too far to understand stream. Probably (i have to test it) a conf file for mpv can mitigate tis issue. If i came up with a solution i’ll post here

Thank you very much, your work will be life changer for our four kids.

We need good FTP since long time. Please check Pplay 2.1, it is very fast. We used Pplay 2.1 in AMS 0.18 & FW 11, but since AMS 0.19 it needs to recompile it.

Problems are on ffmpeg side. seems to create slow tcp connection.
slow not in terms of troughput but it takes times to ack the connection.

i am using libraries bundled with libnx. probably a different ffmpeg build can override the problem.

i can override it by compiling ffmpeg myself. i give it a try

Btw Multiple Enigma2 accounts would be nice.
