my next planned phone is HTC Evo 3D soon to be best spec in UK @ Time of upgrade

You have to keep in mind that the specs on the Evo 3D (as well as LG Optimus 3D) are somewhat bloated due to the fact a very significant chunk of the hardware is dedicated to producing the 3D effect. Essentially, you can say that the 2nd core of the processor will be used to run a second image the phone is producing. In the end, despite having powerful specs, you'll get less than superior results. I'd stick with a Samsung Galaxy S II or HTC Sensation.

The best one would be Sammsung Galaxy S II. I own one. After you I rooted it, I overclocked it to 1.452GHZ. Plus it's the thinnest Android Phone out there and the best.

If you're AT&T, I'd pass on the Atrix, personally and go with the HTC Inspire. I can OC mine to 1.7GHz, stably. My dad has had nothing but problems with his Motorola.
