should i keep my switch2 un updated then but why did he swap from saying there will be no exploit to its not 100% no now what did they discovery

June 15th coming into view?

This would be lightning fast, even if its just finding an entry point with loads of necessary development to follow still. I stashed away a second Switch 2 with just the launch firmware applied and SD card initialized, banking on making use of it in maybe five or so years, or more. Even planned out caring for the batteries. Hopefully whatever they're hinting at, if something comes out of it that is, doesn't require the factory 19.0.0, now that would be a stinger.

The Switch 2 would make for a great emulation station and mobile movie platform, and if the system is opened up enough that we'd be able to make Switch 1 games run at their docked settings (if at all possible), that would be great because we wouldn't have to rely on devs patching their games. Or more. I crave that sweet 60 fps Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled that i can have on PC, but having it on console would be chef's kiss.

I hope they will release those at least after the end first year of the SW2 or way later next year, because so far, no much game to play.
Nice to see that the scene never stop to move on, despite all the "unhackable noise" that we have encountered here.
Stay low folks.
Exactly.
I hope they'll let people still buy the S2 so that studios will keep on producing games.
18 months on market ? Though I'd be interested if they kept on informing us on progresses, if any.
I'm not that much interested in games (my kids... another story), but much more interested, yes, in homebrew, such as media reader, streaming, etc.

let it run... doom ?

They can keep producing, but if it's GKCs they can screw off.

I complete forgot to mention the possibility to tweak the system itself. Overclocking and undervolting in general of course, but mostly if the LCD can be run with more voltage / overdrive to improve the response time.

It is a 120 Hz panel with response times that barely even suffice for 30 fps content and i really want to know if it is just because it is a terrible panel, or because Nintendo chose to run it very conservatively on low power because of battery constraints. Surely there's room for improvement?

It would be hilarious if someone confirming an exploit on the Switch 2 caused sales to suddenly spike.
Honestly, though it might not be possible, I'd pay 50 euros, I' be curious to get the real numbers of sales:
- switch 1 sales
- switch 1 sales for piracy purpose (10% ?)
of course, we could talk about ethical hacking, but I guess numbers would be near 0, except for a few part of members at GBATemp....

Knowing a console could do anything except what the constructor has made it for, is always interesting.
Streaming, overclocking, downclocking, connect any game contoller, etc. *
What could do the scene ?
Isn't that entertaining ?

* edit : I forgot Retrogaming !!

10% is an insane estimate. I'd be surprised if it were 1%. I feel like people actively in this space very often overestimate just how popular it is. We are very much the minority lol

I'd actually be genuinely surprised if someone develops an exploit (or even finds an entrypoint for one) - it hasn't even been a year since the release of the console.

Google says switch was sold @ 153 000 000 units.
That makes more than 1,5 millions of units for 1%.
That may be even quite a lot, but I'm bad with figures.
I wonder at least how many people knew how to hack the Switch 1 (easy with Internet, but 100% of members or readers at GBATemp) and how many actually did it !
Ahhh but it's only speculations ! ^^
