DaFees, if you don't want to use the sd, actually the only way is to install postloader directly to priiloader. Eventually you can use the dol forwarder by albatroz in priiloader.

Or you can wait a couple (I hopes) of days. postLoader 2.37 is almost ready. With it there is a new version of priibooter capable of start postloader.dol also from the root of hdd or from apps/postloader/boot.dol

postLoader 2.37 have some interesting additions. Beside wiiload standard features, if you send postLoader.dol via wiiload, it will ask if you want update your installation.

Adding a password on interactive mode is already on my to-do list. For now remeber that you can hide "dangerous" applications.

Sounds like a winner I cant wait to test out the new features

Can't wait for the new version. Would be interested to know if the option to randomly select a loading screen image from a folder on SD is still in the works? Maybe I'll be surprised. stfour seems like a pretty attentive person who hasn't been saying much lately. I think there was still listening going on though.

He mentioned he does not like to release a sub-par app so that may be why.

I have a question: when Wiiload does get support will apps like TransmiteMii still work the same way or will they need to be updated by the dev to support PL2?

It has full support for wiiload standard 1.0.5 (also packed), 1.0.4 for dol and elf, zip installation of app to sd or usb, zip unpacking in temp folder with multiple dol inside, postloader update via wiiload.

I'm doing final testing... maybe I can release it in few hours.

* If AHBROT is available, no more need to fall into ios249 to browse (and execute) REAL NAND titles.
* WiiLoad support (straight, compressed dol, zip archieve)
* If you send postLoader.dol via wiiload, postloader installation will be updated (after confirmation).
* Cover download can be safely interrupted pressing (B)
* New library for http download (derived from wiiXplorer). Now cover download is much more faster
* A lot of code clean
* Now arg.commandLine is also moved in mem2
* HB applications can be uninstalled
* Corrected some bugs on microsneek support. Anyway microsneek must be considered experimental.
* priibooter: updated to 1.6
* priibooter: corrected a bug on HBC selection
* priibooter: postloader is searched also on usb
* Updated grlib gui library to 1.2
* Changed version number convention ..

For my priibooter to be updated, do I need to do anything other than copying the priibooter.dol file included in the 2.37.7 download above to the root of my SD card (replacing the one that was there)?

I'm only asking because when I do that the priibooter screen shows the version as 1.4 and I'm wondering if I have to do something in priiloader.

ADD -> anyone have trouble using ftpii? I can get it to mount the sd-card, but not the USB-drive. Is that because my nand is on the usb drive?


Also, I'm not sure I fully understand the benefit of having wiiload capabilities. If anyone could nutshell it for me I'd appreciate it.

ADD -> are there any plans for something like GC backup support? I have a couple collections created using the GC Multigame ISO Creator and I'm not sure how to get those to load.

I found 2 bugs

* It fall on 249 for real nand even if AHBPROT is avaible. This is fixed in 2.38 (not available yet)
* After download covers, wiiload is no more active. I think it is related to a bug network lib that not release socket binding when socket is closed or net_deinit is called. Maybe someone has an easy solution for this

Here you go strait from the horses mouth LoL; but basiclly any .dol or .elf file your usually thrown into your apps/random name here/ folder can be installed via your pc using programs like Transmitmii etc which can be found on wiibrew.org.

Once again thanks stfour your app has grown beyond its usefulness.

You know I never noticed this but there is a User folder inside my Postloader folder what is the purpose of it? I know I should not delete it cause it came with the .zip but it's also the same uid.sys that people over there on the usbloader gx beta thread keep speaking of and i'm more curious then anything.

kylster, postloader doesn't use any "user" folder, nor there is one in the zip.

I just checked the 2.37.7 DL, and maybe it's not supposed to be there, but there is indeed an 'user' folder in the /apps/postloader folder.
