The editor is not even the problem.
I edited files in the order of terabyte in size.
Even compared the with each other, thats not a problem at all.

But the encryption makes all this useless till someone find a flaw in it.

On the topic of a browser exploit, how about the official nintendo WiFi usb dongle?
(theory that will probably be shot down.)
You can tether a 3ds to the internet connection of a pc with the dongle and with some type of hacking/program you could intercept what the 3ds is doing via a dumped log.
Might make it possible to decipher an exploit through the browser. Also if you could take control of the 3ds somehow, you could force some type of overflow.(as the 3ds accesses what it thinks is the internet connection but would actually be code to force a bug)

*waits for crazy theory to be shot down*

You must have a pretty big hard drive... and work with video...

Of course, as you pointed out, it's encrypted...

Yeah so something similar has already been suggested. There's no point in doing this because all the data being sent is encrypted and stuff.

Wasn't suggesting homebrew channel. Just some sort of WiFi sniffer or whatever. But yeah, the encryption thing. Looks like nothing will be possible without the keys.
Wish someone could just get ahold of a dev kit.

Well, ill leave it to the real hackers then. It is fun to speculate now and then.
Can't wait for homebrew. A port of Portal in 3D would be ownage. :)

Here are theories that I think would be GREAT for softmodding a 3DS.

1. MP3 Hacks
The 3DS could probably be softmodded by a corrupt MP3 file. The 3DS will call the file corrupt, but then the screen turns black and starts running some HackMii3DS Installer.
2.Picture Hacks
Corrupted pictures, just like the MP3.
3.InternetBomb
The 3DS's "always-on" internet connection. Think about phoenixfkr's post.

True to the fact of crashing the system, is there anyway a script to execute an exploit into the system via crashing, also on a daft note skipping the security fully and implement a program on the SD or Flash-card that acts like ONLIVE where its played through a server then the console itself?

That could be possible through a computer program that could send ROMS to the 3DS.

BOOM! Great ideas before you.
