I flashed the newest Darky's Rom on my Galaxy S and it is so good! It's honestly like a new phone. No more lag, no more stupid black screens when people are trying to call you lol.

Definitely look into it. It's over at xda-developers.

what are u using to replace icons with text? looks amazing, i searched simple font in the market and didn't get what i wanted

You probably are going to have to make the icons yourself on a computer, or look somewhere online where someone has made a set. Then you can look for an app called Desktop VisualizeR to make shortcuts with custom icons. You can use the native Android shortcut function too but that seems to get a bit buggy.
