Any change to the notes, the way they're played by musicians, or the amounts of instruments involved in the recreation of the music other than what the original artist has intended, it's technically not the same piece. You mean play every second/third/fourth/Nth note as fast as possible and then mix them all together into a faster piece? Maybe with discrete pitch instruments but if you have bends or glissando or portamento it wouldn't work.
