Long-running properties going public domain has been a wild ride. I think the gimmick of turning a family-friendly character into a horror movie is hilarious. The problem is that filmmakers aren't making good horror movies to compliment the joke.

I hear the Popeye horror movie isn't scary or fun to watch, and Olive Oyl is Popeye's sister, which shows little knowledge of the source material.

I need a horror movie aficionado like @RustInPeace to chime in. From the Last Seen Movie thread, I summon thee!

It was always intuitive to me, and presumably a majority of other people, that it meant the direction the top goes.
