Gaming Possibly bricked DS Lite with pokemon black 2

Hi Guys,

My fist post here, although I've been reading the forum for a while.

I tried to run pokemon black 2 with an acekard 2i in my DS Lite. After starting the rom the screen went black, I restarted it with the flash cart and the boot screen froze in the middle. Without the flashcard the DS booted and I could load pictochat. I've tried to update de acekard firmware in my friend's DS with his R4. It didn't worked, I suppose the card is gone for good.

The point is my DS doesn't load even his R4. It can load pictochat and gba games with an ezflash. There is something I can do to restore my DS slot 1?

Could be that you blew a fuse/resistor.
As I recall that could be the reason why the DS slot doesn't work.

Have you tried blowing into slot 1 and the cart?

Yes, I misused the brick word. Sorry for not knowing the terminology.

The acekard was tested in two functioning DS Lite, my friend's was one of them. It loads a black screen. My DS loads to pictochat/clock screen, as if I didn't had any card into slot 1

Try a retail card.
If that also fails to load then you know there's something wrong with the circuitry of the DS Slot

I'm with a friends DS that, according the help I got here, the fuse died , the consle turn on sometime sbut then off, and are loading nothing the time it can keep on xD I ordered a new fuse...

If it's just tun on normally, try using a "limpa contatos" ou "alcool isopropílico" to cleam the carts and console contacts

Hi guys,

Feeling a little stupid here since my inability to google lead to the creation of this thread. I just find out there is a contact issue between some old R4 and some DS Lite. Tested this solution (youtube.com/watch?v=Txe-lfe7MAQ) consisting in putting a piece of paper behind the R4 and it worked perfectly. The acekard seems to be gone though, sine it loads a black screen in any DS...
