So Waninkoko's going to continue with this project?

I wouldn't jump the gun. From what I have read he initially decided to drop the project. Then was updated to say that he is going to clean up at least this version of the code and post it. It has not yet been said if he is going to continue this project to completion, so at this time I'd say no.

i just redid the trauma center: new blood with the video patching and it goes from a green screen to a black screen... on to other games!

Is the green screen problem definately a region issue? The only reason I ask is that I have a PAL Wii and I used a PAL Boom Blox ISO and got a green screen.
I used a Verbatim DVD+R first and burned with Nero(4x speed), got the -4100 error. Next was an ASDA (supermarket) DVD-R which I burned with IMGBurn (4x speed) and got the green screen (admittedly I didn't do anything about the booktype thing as Pioneer wasn't listed as a drive).
Finally I burnt it in Nero (2x speed just to be careful) on another ASDA DVD-R and it works fine....
Just sharing my experience of the green screen to maybe help nail the issue.
Many thanks Waninkoko by the way, I love making my toys do things they aren't supposed to

Keep up the good work on , if not this project, whatever you do next.

I tried doing it wtih NTSC Boom Blox

Did it wth teh backup creator and then burned, went to a black screen

Patched the NTSC to Pal, kept all languages te same, and did the same

any ideas? because people have gotten it to work.

also, does sluggers work patched/

From what I have read

Green screen = Nero Burning with it NOT set to "BookType". Some drives aparently aren't capable of choosing this option. I would suggest burning using "ImgBurn", its a free program that works very well. Though I am not 100% sure if it will fix the issue with any/all drives.

Black screen = usually a loading screen. I've had a backup take a few minutes sitting on a black screen to load. I would say if you get a black screen then give it 5-10 minutes to load. If it takes longer than that then the Wii is probably locked up. Could be due to a bad burn, bad patch, or incompatible game.

I am still having this problem and its really annoying someone please help i wasted 10Disc so far! someone who has a messenger send me pm please if you know how to resolve this problem. Thanks

EDIT: Weird i have verbatim DVD+R but when i click my computer it says DVD+RW does anyone know if i should select DVD+RW or DVD+R on "ImgBurn" booktype>ChangeFor>(Which one is it DVD+R or DVD+RW)

I can verify MArio Sluggers Patched to PAL works on an NTSC system

Same, though it doesn't seem to be a sure fire fix for games that don't boot up immediatley.

did you use regionfrii or wiifrii? I got green screen with regionfrii and am getting low on disks to test another.

Ummm the Verbatim is 4.7GB/Gigs. i also now have TDK DVD+R 4.7Gigs also. I need help with the green screen 10Disk dead for just a green screen >_V Is it possible its the iso its Mario Sluggers which is 4.37Gigs.

Guitar Hero 3 Custom - Rocks the 80s (said to be originally PAL)

used WiiFrii to convert to NTSC and then used the Backup Creator and burned with ImgBurn

game loads up to a green screen for 1 second and then plays normally except the screen is scrolling (like copy protection or invalid region).

This is on a NTSC Wii that I have already successfully played another backup game on.

Ideas how to fix this GH3 issue?

Heres the settings I used for Super Mario Sluggers NTSC.

1. Use RegionFrii (on Waninkoko's site).
2. Use NTSC -> PAL
3. Use Smart Video Patcher.
3. Do not change language.

Thats it, just patch and burn after that.
