Not much I can do in regards to not doing a blatant copy/paste so here it goes

VG Leaks says they have received the Wii U specs from a anonymous source.

GX2 is a 3D graphics API for the Nintendo Wii U system (also known as Cafe). The API is designed to be as efficient as GX(1) from the Nintendo GameCube and Wii systems. They're real (target specs from last E3).

but......they are very vague and don't tell us much.
 
Sorry if it does not help much. I just figured that this would be info that some tech buff would love to read and maybe reply to with some synopsis of what this means for the gaming experience. I still cant stop looking at my article picture :D Both the Black and white Wii-U look amazing. I want a white one when the system comes out! :yaywii:
 
8GB nand this time around, that's nice. The Wii's was terrible. Hardly any space for anything on-board once I had OoT and Majora's Mask installed.

agreed but once the emulators came along I stopped using Virtual console. "Super Mario Bros/ rom / 59KB" versus "Super Mario Bros / Virtual Console / damn near 8MB". NOT COOL Nintendo! :( In the end I saved a ton of space by abandoning Virtual Console for my old school games and even gained PS1 and better N64 support thanks to emulation.

I posted a source but It's still not "official" from Nintendo
Nintendo did post official specs but it's even worse. It's much more 'vague' than this.

GameROM vs GameROM + emulator + digitalized manuals + whatever else they included. That is why VC games were so big. Plus, their emulator is guarenteed to play the game it accompanies.

Not to mention that it's legal. I know a lot of people say that you can't prove that, but 9 times out of 9.1, they just downloaded them off of some site.

I know what's in a VC Wad I was just making the point that the VC wad is a waste of time for me since I dont need a HTML instruction manual.

- Devkit has twice as much memory as retail hardware (standard for nintendo)
- Graphics hardware has recognizable features from gamecube/wii (early Z test, buffer compression)
- Same dedicated DSP chip, although it's clocked faster (120Mhz vs 80Mhz). Required for BC
- Networking and Storage are basically the same as the wii
It's really not awesome hardware, they're just playing catch-up to the PS3.

If its true it means shit to me!

I'm one of those who when getting a new graphic card, has to go on Youtube to see it actually playing a game. Show something that will impressive us, what happened to the Retro Studios title? Perhaps its nowhere near ready to show in demo form but those guys got great results from GC & Wii so I think what they have would be a great indicator.

Nintendo didn't really show anything that could look like its pushing much though a couple of titles did show that a lot can happen on the screen.

The official press release from Nintendo says fuck all, although it seems pretty much the same as what's here v:

Considering I know the wii inside and out so well that people have actually suspected me of working for Nintendo, you can probably take it seriously. I'm not just a noob who posts in the news section for attention.

Cool, then you'd know by RAM and Edram alone it's more capable then PS3. From this vague information you really can't draw an conclusion whether you know the Wii inside out or not is rather futile.
