This time it looks legit.

I think 8GB is still a little small for a console with network in mind.
If they will provide full games on eShop, 8GB is not a lot.
unless they allow external HDD (like Dragon Quest 10).

I'm curious about that Console-PC connection.

The console has 4 USB ports and SD for further external storage.

Cool, then you'd know by RAM and Edram alone it's more capable then PS3. From this vague information you really can't draw an conclusion whether you know the Wii inside out or not is rather futile.
Besides the obvious conclusion that you fail grammar, it is possible to conclude the wiiU will be using the same PowerPC core and system design introduced by the GC and extended by the wii (including IOS, it will be back) because it's mostly all the same hardware. If you do some digging and find the patents, even the diagrams describing the system (with the exception of the new controller) are identical to the ones used for the wii.

That's for the devkit only.

Wow okay, fuck you trying to nitpick my mistakes. lol

I really don't care, I didn't object the the hardware is similar and I really don't know why you are stating those because obviously those components are much beefier! I can tell from powerpc 7 CPU and the GPU alone that the Wii U is more capable than the PS3.

You might want to add a link to your source.
Otherwise, I'll wait for some official word from Nintendo on the system's specs.

You may have to wait a very long time then. Nintendo do not like to reveal system specs.
Developers are the only guys/gals able to give us detailed specs.

3 cores IBM.
1.5GB RAM.
n wifi.
8GB SSD.
I can confirm these specs are the same as what I was told about 3 months ago.

Unless you are really some expert or a worker of Nintendo, I'll take this lightly.
Considering I know the wii inside and out so well that people have actually suspected me of working for Nintendo, you can probably take it seriously. I'm not just a noob who posts in the news section for attention.
And yet you pointed out that you were so awesome that people suspected you of working for Nintendo instead of just ignoring a single subjective opinion. Who is the attention whore now :P

Seriously now, calling news posters attention seeking noobs is totally uncalled for in a community that lives off people's contributions, especially if you are one of those people, that contributed quite a share.

Now excuse me Sir, I am going to like this post of yours, not because I particularly like you, but because of the information this post provides :mthr:

They confirmed last year that it would use external UBD HDD of any brand for gaming, they also already confirmed full retail downloadable titles on launch day.
About the Wii U-PC connection in this specification sheet I think it's for devs only, but we know that Miiverse, the main account based user communication interface will be available for PC's, the 3DS and smart phones on a later date after the Wii U launch.

I also want to add that ram, gpu and cpu from 2010-2011 are much more efficient than what they were six years ago, plus the graphics card will by default be compatible with newer types of lighting, particle effects etc.

Another thing we still have no clue about is at what clock speed this will be running at...

The rest of the specs I can deal with, they are what was expected for a long time now. What I can't deal with is the GLOSS black controller. Sure it looks great, but only for a fucking week.

Great. When I saw the "GX2" I thought immediately of 2 slapped radeon rv610 chips onboard clocked faster (3D...)

So, it's gonna be so damn similar with Wii.. this could be good. Also, it's so damn fu**** similar to PS3 (cell SPE) joint with XBOX360 Arquitecture(2threads per core [3]) now.

It'll be definitely better.

It makes no damn sense to me that we haven't seen a single game that looks more impressive than a PS3 game this E3.

With these specs, we should have seen at least some fucking antialiasing and better textures. Instead we saw shoddy games that looked like average 360 games and ran at 720p/no AA.

Aren't those game demos/incomplete and the final retail version will have everything fixed?

Adding some anti-aliasing is trivial and not at all complicated to do. If the system did indeed have 32MB of EDRAM, all the games should have had at least some form of anti-aliasing. And the ones that didn't should have run at 1080p without tearing.

The WiiU is built as a fully fledged 3D console. Designed with 3D gaming in mind from the get go.
The WiiU, in terms of graphics, is pumping out 5th generation PS3 game graphics AT LAUNCH!
It ONLY gets better than this.

3D is up for the developer to utilize. They can choose not to develop their games in 3D. 3D support is also only for the TV btw.

Graphics wise, it is a huge step up from the Wii however it is still up to the developer to utilize.

Correct. I saw an early prototype or two and the newest one had a 3D touchscreen. Seems like they found it cheaper not to include that in the end :-(

Where did you get that info?

The Wii U GamePad was never designed with 3D in mind from the start!

These are titles that have been ported with only a few lines of code, some developers will make them run at higher resolutions others won't give a shit like with Darksiders 2 for example.

Though I'm expecting some games like the improved Batman or Mass Effect 3 Wii U to be comparable to their PC counterparts.

I also want to mention Pikmin 3, sure it looks great, but we should remember that it was originally a GC/Wii title. So it's not entirely built from the ground up, it's a simplistic game but there are still some small improvements that could be done to the areas with flat grass or they could improve water effects, small things that doesn't really take much processing power and aren't hard to implement either.
It's a possibility that Nintendo would make these changes before launch.

Anyway a new tech demo should be done with the new development kit, it's the only way to shut up people who thinks its's current gen and won't be able to compete with other future consoles.

The fact that launch games like Pikmin are doing native 720p 60FPS is incredible, as most x360/PS3 games failed to even achieve that and were just up-scaled.
