possible to split an mp3?

i have a couple of songs with hidden tracks that follow on after around 10 minutes of silence, i was wondering if it's possible to split these into two seperate tracks without the silence using a program, without altering the codec or quality or anything like that.

I use Direct WAV MP3 Splitter or Audacity. It is easy with both programs, Audacity is free but requires a few extra plug-ins.
