Hacking Possible Frankenfirmware Need Guidance

Okay so here's what I have done so far.

Bought a N3DS XL yesterday that was running 9.6 20U.

Installed Brower hacks and menuhax and the sys updater.

Went to the "site" and downloaded the 9.2 U files and placed them on SD card and also downloaded Safesys and ran a check of my files which all turned out Good.

After many attempts to DG through sysupdater (not safes sys btw) it finally started. It then installed a few files (could be more) and then got the error screen please reboot n3ds.
Okay so I reboot the system and it comes on to my suprise. I then go the Settings just out of curiosity and it says my FW version is now 9.2 (but pretty sure I'm half assed there). Anyways I insert SD and try to acess HBL through Brower hax and it works!

So I then download downgrade check 2.0 and run the app. Well here's what pops up

So 24 total mismatched version files.

Now I heard that I have options I take it?
-Redowngrade using sysupdater
-Try to install CFW
-Upgrade then try to Redowngrade
-mini pasta?

Any help with steps would be immensely helpful. I'm totally new to the 3ds scene. Thanks!

You're still on a 9.6 nativefirm, so the 9.2 is just the CVER title being installed.
Best bet is just retry the downgrade again. Or just use safesysupdater. Did one of these a couple days ago, just look through my post history. CFW/Pasta won't work since your native firm is 9.6

Ok so I basically just need to go to safesys and redowngrade correct? Not the regular sysupdater but the Safe one

- You could try installing a CFW, but I don't know if it would fully work because of the partial downgrade, so when you had a problem, you will not be able to know if it is related to this.
- When you say update, you mean to 10.6? If that, you cannot downgrade once you're on 10.6 unless you had your 3ds hardmoded.
- Minipasta would let you install unsigned cias on sysnand, but it is not usually recomended to mess up the sysnand. Also, you could have problems because of the partial downgrade just as in the second option

I should try to redowngrade again... at this point I think the brick chance is smaller than at the beginning, but it is up to you.
You can wait to see if any other users have other options or advices

Either will work as long as it has memchunkhax2.

He has to redowngrade. Native firm is 20262 which is 9.6.0-24 - Pasta/CFW wouldn't work.

Just Downgrade again, Safesysupdater just check the .cia files before installing, its the same code from sysupdater.

So I should just keep that iso download of 9.2 in the updates folder and not touch them(should be good anyways I just checked them using safe and im good to go) or should I delete that "updates" folder and redownload the 9.2 zip and just replace them back so its fresh basically?
thanks fellas! also a note to add I had exactly 104 cia files in that zip. is that correct?

Don't forget to use Teracopy to Copy Paste your cias to your SD, it does a really great job.

Update i did what Scarletdreamz said and im Currently at the Downgrade Completed Trying to Reboot in 10 secs part. Everything is Green and Done. I been on this screen for about 5 mins. Should i wait or power the device down myself? Heard it can be caused by menuhacks

Hmm. What if the OP were to downgrade to 9.0 then using a CART UPDATE to 9.2? Would that fix the issue at hand?

probably, but then he needs to get a cart with a 9.2 update. and since he still has an entrypoint on franken, he can use safesysupdater.

So all my .cia's are good and green. But when trying to downgrade through safesysupdater it hangs at #7 : Clean memory ...

Im officially on 9.2 fellas! Did what was posted and checked everything. Ran DG checker and this time i only have 1 mismatched file! Awesome! System says 9.2 also! Everything works like a charm. Now comes the fun stuff ! But as i mentioned im a noob at this so i need steps basically lol.

Following the
EASILY Setup ReiNand CFW, EmuNAND & FBI for NEW 3DS 9.2! guide
and im at the Emunad part were its Creating a Nand.bin file! so far its flawless! did notice my reinnand didnt open one time so i had to reboot but other than that this is awesome!


Made the Bin. Im all setup right after the Cloning part which is at 27 atm. So let me get this write. My emunand(sysnand cannont be updated thats a no no lol) can be updated to what a certain version right? For instance I own pokemon AS and after this im going to go ahead and play it but to play online i think it will trigger a update. So i need to make sure im in The Emunand mode which i can tell by looking at my firmware Should say REi9.2. If i am i can update correct?
