just got 2 m3i zero from digimartz.com for my cousins. however when I opened the boxes to set it up for them I noticed that instead of the nice small blue and black card reader it had the older square black one that came with the m3 real. the package had a depression in the molding where the blue and black card reader was supposed to go but it was empty. and the old style reader was just jammed in the bok under the plastic that holds the rest of the components. then when I compare the box to mine I notice they have an additional feature on the list on the back. "-dual boot os (official m3sakura & m3 touchpod os)" my old m3i doesn't say that and the list of features on m3adapter's website doesn't have it either. The numbers on the chip in back don't show up on a google search . like my old one these numbers say M3i_V2_E1 R. If someone here could help me determine if this is a fake before I give it to my cousins in 3 weeks I would appreciate it. the writing on the box and the circuit board identifier could be explained away by a newer m3i and the website just not being updated yet but it seems odd and the flash card reader really is making me worry that these might be fake

Does it work the the official firmware of M3 Real?
    You can find that here
What was the site you get it from? Like the M3 site, not the dealer

He said he got it from digimartz.com. Well, try to run that firmware on there that A Gay Little Cat Boy said to try. If it runs, they're legit. If it doesn't, you have a fake.

I found the dealer from m3 site I haven't tested them yet. I get my system software from gbatemp when I do get it. I got the feature list from m3 site as well. I'm not sure what you are asking for where did I get it. it came through hong kong customs if that is what you mean

Care to give us the link to the M3 site you went to for a dealer? Just to make sure you weren't directed to a fake M3 site.

i bought two of these from modchip.ca separately about two months apart. the first one came with the rounded m3-emblazoned reader and the second came with the generic squarish one. ( emblazoned with 'USB 2.0 T-Flash Card Reader') both are legit, they probably just ran out of the first design.

Yes -- they must have moved onto a cheaper SD card reader.

I got some from DX -- all with the square reader
