They cost $30 without an sd card not a couple of bucks, and not everyone wants to give their credit card info to some shady company
where I stay they are 4 to five pounds or about 6 bucks for our American friends and can be bought from any independent game shop so no credit cards needed. So not sure where the 30 dollars you are getting are coming from as the only flashcart that costs that is the supercard ds2 because of the extra processor it has for emulation.

man you really shouldn't be giving your credit card info to shady companies in any situation, it's not all that hard to find somewhere reputable

if you have a remotely good bank you also shouldn't be hugely worried about fraud

My battery increases when it is off... Sometimes it even increases in the sun when i leave it on but closed.
Batteries output more voltage when they're warm.
The battery on the 3DS is also know to 'increase' in sleep mode. I was about to do a system update when my battery turned to red, so I just closed it and waited until it turned blue again. I've also closed it when flashing critical and then had it stop flashing.

I'm not the only one!

This is normal. In lithium batteries at least, there is a voltage drop relative to the power consumption, and the remaining capacity is measured by the voltage. So if there is less power consumption (like in sleep mode) the voltage drop will be less and the voltage may be above the threshold for the low battery warning.
That doesn't mean your battery magically has more juice left in it when in sleep mode though, it's just that the way the capacity is measured is rather limited.

It did help me do a system update with no charger on hand though.
