Hi there,

Just wanna ask whether it is possible to port Pywright to 3ds?

Basically, Pywright is a Case Maker for "Attorney" games which allows the user to play custom cases made by people.. so we can play custom cases, there are some great custom cases out there!

If you want to know more about Pywright, you can do so by going here:- http://pywright.wikia.com/
Also, the source code is located here:- http://pywright.dawnsoft.org/

If it would be possible, it would be awesome!
So yeah, is it possible and is somebody willing to port it?

PS:- It was decided that Pywright would be ported to the DS AFAIK, but, it was halted. So, I guess we can port it for the 3ds?

Two things you need to know

1 it's against gbatemp.net rules to bump threads

2 It's against gbatemp.net rules to use only one word in threads

So with one bump you have broken two rules

Keep doing it and the site mods will be in contact with you. After of 700 posts I would have thought you would have learned the rules by now.

A port? NO. It's made in Python and as such cannot be ported to the 3DS unless Python itself is ported to the 3DS first. It could however be remade (As in looking at the python code and manually translating it to C code) for the 3DS but this would be a way larger project than a mere port.

That would be too bad! But, like how large?

isn't there a way to port ds homebrew to 3ds?
There should be a way, developers might be able to do that, so, that's why I posted it here, but, no one has replied yet.. still hoping that someone does reply and port it to the 3ds..

Porting DS homebrew to the 3DS is not straightforward, it's as difficult if not more than porting a something from PC. But you can run DS mode homebrew on the 3DS. In all cases, you would need to program a new interpreter for the 3DS.

that's exactly my point, just run it under ds mode

This would be a really fun learning project for a beginner to start with. If someone is willing ro join the scene with a project i would suggest this one

Not that I'm against making a port of it, but there are hardly any finished cases for it (only one I know of is Turnabout Substitution).
