Whoa... Have I touched a raw nerve or something ??
I disappear for a couple of hours & come back to all this
Firstly to 'smiths': Once again I'm sorry about not including you in the first post.
I just didn't know you were also a developer of AKAIO (I HAD edited my first post about my mistake before you posted to explain this)
Secondly to everyone else: As mentioned I made a mistake thinking Normmatt was the one and only developer (I've change the #2 question to 'developers' instead of Normmatt' now).
Perhaps I worded this post all wrong but it seems some people may believe I'm having a go at Normmatt for keeping us in the dark or maybe even trying to 'force' him to keep working on AKAIO otherwise a lot of people will be disappointed
THIS IS NOT SO... (I did mention this in
post #4)
Yes I admit I would be disappointed if AKAIO is actually killed off, mainly because IMHO it seems to have better features than the offical AK firmware (I've had trouble with AK in the past but never with AKAIO), but if it is then that is TOTALLY UP TO THE DEVELOPERS TO DECIDE & I'll support whatever decision they make
All I wanted to know was via this post was:
Has AKAIO actually been killed off ?
- even a note from one of the developers to say Yea/Nah/Maybe would be nice
If it has would the developers (note I'm saying developers now, not just "Normmatt") consider releasing the source for other to pick up to carry on on express condition it's for
Acekards only
Do people think Rudolph hacking has 'spoilt' AKAIO for us Acekard users. ??
Perhaps if Rudolph actually
asked the developers first if he could modify AKAIO to work on 'clones' then none of this may never of happened
I hope I've made myself (a little) more clearer this time
