well apparently it is fixed in the latest build, if he followed the guide then he should have a nand backup, its in among the first things you do (from the first point its possible i.e once your at 9.2) check with him, and get him to check his SD card for the nand backup made at this point in the guideapearantly he used the 2.5 installer instead of 2.5.1, but. i thing he also use the arm9payloads from before the update 7 days ago, so chances are thats what did the brick, and he doesnt have a nand backup, i dont remember if plailect guide recommends doing a nand backup before installing optless, but if it doesnt, it should.
is there any other way to unbrick it with a hardmod, fixing whatever the error broke?, and with the latest versions of the installer and the payloads, is there no longer any chances of brick?
- All versions above 9.2.0 should do 9.2.0 Downgrade at this point, before proceeding
- Open Decrypt9WIP (This can sometimes take a few tries)
- If you cannot launch Decrypt9WIP after many tries, you most likely have a partial downgrade and should refer to the 9.2.0 Downgrade page
- Go to "SysNAND Options", then "SysNAND Backup/Restore"
- Perform a "NAND Backup (min size)" and backup your NAND to NANDmin.bin
- Return to the Main Menu
