Mine looks to be fine but I did have an issue with it today. Just glad it's back to normal because that sure as heck got me worried!

I don't see anything wrong in that picture, can you take one that shows it better?
Slightly on mine. Would've never noticed before all of this became a thing. Lays completely flat on its screen, but on its back, if you press down on the left side it doesn't necessarily wobble...but it makes some sort of noise

Got mine at day one, and have about 80-85 hours on it. If I had to guess maybe 70 hours docked, the rest in the portable mode
That sounds a lot like a bulging battery, as the battery is on the right side, and if it was bulging it would cause the back to bulge with the screen staying flat like you describe.

I dont have a Switch , but after seeing all of the speculation of the Switch bents , i want to say that the heat of the Switch is totally not causing the Switch to bent , the real reason is when you use it . Every electronic that has the form of a phone / tabler (in this case , the Switch) may get bent a little bit due to use. Its not something to make a huge drama . Also , i think one guy said he put in on the dock and it bent , we can't proof if the guy got his Switch really bent by the dock or if he / someone else bent the Switch

I can definitly say, mine is bent after being only in dock. And yes, I am talking about it self bending.
BTW: very good word play.
A question for you, how is your dock placed? Is there plenty of room on all sides for ventilation or do you have it placed into a cramped media cabinet or similar? This could make a huge difference to how hot it gets.

His case, the back plastic cover is like, popping outward. Mine was doing it too. Not sure why but it scared me because it was near the battery. It was not a huge amount on mine but I could easily get my thumbnail in between the back cover and the main part of the switch.

hey I think IBM's got an OS in mothballs that would be a perfect fit for the nintendo switch!

So what do you think guys? I don't even used so much. I have only demos right now and played 1 hour / week maybe.

mine hasn't warped in dock mode from playing 4 - 8 hours on the days i play. i'm happy to report that i got none of the other issues. joy con connectivity and screen scratching in dock (though just to be safe, i did buy a screen protector after playing without one for a week) are fine. basically no problems i can find with it yet. hoping that remains the case.

I can almost guarantee its not the dock now. The wife and I played for 9 hours straight while docked and it was mildly warm. If switches are bending it can't be the dock.

You hold it. You play on it.
Now this might be why it bends /speculation
  • Gripped Joycons might bent power rail a little
  • You're basically forcing too much pressure on it while gaming
  • Dock can't be culprit. Never saw plastic bending plastic.
  • Being in extreme heat environment then leaving extreme heat environment to very cold environment
  • Wrong placement, smashing it around or using it as 'hammer'
  • Sitting on it. [Who even does that]
  • Turning on Airplane mode and throwing it off a window
Some are serious, some are not.

Well i got my unit back but they gave me a brand new Switch with my files transferred. No more bubbling back cover.

Mine are VERY slightly bent near the edges. Like if I were to lay it flat 95% of the switch will be touching the surface. Everything still works fine. I play handheld mode like 90% of the time.

The somewhat surprising number of bending issues, even the absolutely minor ones, is a bit unsettling. I hope Nintendo doesn't annihilate what little faith I have in them now.
