I'm getting a "generic" error type code. And i want to know how to fix it.. Pic is also included.

An Error Occurred (ErrDisp)
Error Type: Generic
Process ID: 15
Process name: menu
Process title ID: 0x0004003000008f02

Address: 0x0022939c
Error Code: 0xd9605c05

Press any button to reboot

This all occurs when i try to run my dumped Pokémon Y game i copied onto my New 3DS with new LUMA, and all that too! (i have recently exploited the thing with Seedhax).
I have used GodMode9 to decrypt the rom (not the trimmed version, because i don't know what the difference is) and then i pressed the buttons to make it build the cia then installed it. That was all i did and yet it crashes upon tapping the game, and booting it up.

  1. Launch GodMode9 by holding (Start) during boot
  2. Navigate to [C:] GAMECART
  3. Follow the steps applicable to your game cartridge:
    • 3DS Game Cartridge: Press (A) on [TitleID].trim.3ds to select it, then select “NCSD image options…”, then select “Build CIA from file”

Thank you this helped installing the Trimmed version, i dont know why, but every other game seems to not care about being trimmed for some odd reason really? What is this trimmed version actaully have that taken away, or changed?

It depends on the game really. Trimming only gets rid of either unused blocks or extra blank space. Sometimes that extra space is reserved for saves, so trimming will cause a potential problem. It's usually just used for cia extraction/rebuilding to .3DS for use in Citra or something. Larger games seem to care more about being trimmed vs others. Anything over 3GB is usually when trimming comes in handy to free up space.

I don't know the difference in how the console reads trimmed/vs untrimmed CIA files but I imagine if you trim a game that isn't quite as large, you may be getting rid of blocks that are used to create information when the game is installed/run.
