Hi
I just got my physical version of Pokemon Moon, very happy with it.
I already downloaded the digital version from the freeshop
So I transferred my save from that version to the physical version.
(PS,physical version is 0 not 0.0.0)

First thing i found when saving in physical version it take double the time then then digital version.

I am really shocked, there was no difference in time in Pokemon ORAS.

did they used bad chip?

System i am using : n3DS XL A9LH luma3ds 6.6 sysnand 11.2.

it shouldn't really be noticably different, however, saving time in pokemon has always been a little different depending on how much you change stuff around.
at least to me it always felt like it needed a second or two more when i moved stuff in the pc a lot

I think its just your DS or maybe your Cartridge. Because my Moon saves within a Second or 2
Have you tried the digital version?
I am not saying it take long time, maybe 1-2 Seconds.
But comparing to digital version,it take half of that time.

First, is it really that important? Saving time of a mere half a second more? Nothing too much :P
My suns cartridge saves in 1.5 seconds.

Physical version on non modded and another modded n3ds : 2.7 seconds saving.

Digital version on cfw n3ds: 1.7 second.

Well,i noticed it the first time i fired my physical version and felt it takes long enough,it shouldn't take 1 second more because it save on the NAND of the game it self.
I think that Nintendo uses slower flash memory to save costs.

Most of the time, high-quality (µ)SD cards are faster than Nintendo's game carts (both read and write).

Go play Heart Gold on an original cartridge, then tell me Sun and Moon take a long time to save ;)
DS games always take ages to save,i was impressed about the save in Pokemon XY.
However,if you playing them on DS flash cart it will be much faster.

To be honest on my Moon cart it only takes a second or so to save, i don't really ever remember thinking it's noticeably slower than X/Y, or my friends Eshop version of Sun.

I mean i'd imaging the Eshop version would save quicker on a good quality SD card though.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
