Don't have a backup of my original save either bah!
You can use DSPokeedit to edit the data of the pokedex one pokemon at a time, instead of all the pokemon at once, like the pokesav does. The only drawback is that it is not fully translated yet.

is it possible to transfer pokemons from
pokemon emerald to pearl/diamond without having to recreate them?

I need help. I edited a pokemon with a blackjack sign (a sign you find on cards) and when I saw it on my game it was a ?. How do I fix this? I know I'm supposed to hex edit the .pkm file but idk what letters make that sign. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

EDIT: It's called a spades I think. The name of the pokemon I'm trying to edit had a spades sign in front of it with the name blackjack, but in the game it comes out as ?blackjack. If someone could help me, that would be great!

I would guess the spades is not on the font the game uses.
So to get it working, you must change the font, which I belive is quiet hard.

Yes, the spades sign is in "others" whenever you have to input letters. I wanna know a way to hex edit the .pkm file so that the spades sign shows up in front of the name. So can anyone help?

you can use DS Poke Edit tool i posed afew post up the only donside is its needs translating...

i think i should work not sure though

im having trouble with this actually working, i have done al lthe editing i want i then save it and put it on to my flashcard then when i play ingame its like i didnt edit anything! So i then open up the edited save file its like i didnt even touch it.

ive tried multiple times and it just doesnt want to work!

EDIT: okay after reading old threads about pekesav it was my flash cart overwriting my save at the startup

Can I change the taste the Pokemon prefer too in Pokesav? (let's say, dry food) I can't find it.

Hi there,

I've recently bought a Gameshark DS and been trying to use the online file converter, and it converts fine going from the .gds file to a RAW .sav file, and I can open that file up in PokeSav and edit everything, but once I try to convert the file back to a .gds file, there's a slight file size difference between the original .gds and the converted one, and when I try to send the save back to my Pokemon Diamond cart the Gameshark program displays an error. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance
Chris

Okay, it says this program is in English, but whenever I bring up fields like Poke Ball type or move set, the entries are an unintellegeable string of alphanumerics. What gives? Did I screw something up? Is this normal?

GDS can easily be converted to .sav
It's not as easy to sucessfully convert back from .sav to .gds

Most of the time, I find they only work if they're manually converted from .sav to .gds
