Folder. The tool loads in the 00slot00 folder in the exported save, and saves a folder.

The original post should mention that you need some sort of way to run homebrew, whether it be gateway or another method.

There's very little in the original post that suggests it.

Never underestimate the stupidity and/or ignorance of people, especially on the internet. Wouldn't be surprised if someone thought there was an official way to dump saves. Or, a less idiotic assumption, that Powersaves would work.

Are we unable to edit those?

(some traits possess multiple traits, which IIRC, can be different)

But it's not that bad, it's not my main game it's on a spare 3ds that i use for testing purpose.

For some reason I edited my rank to 50 and I could buy all the extras and stuff, but when I ranked up it went back to 25 (my real rank that I should have achieved).

Ah, I didn't know about the multiple traits thing (nor the +/++ thing).

The game probably checked against the actual amount of species you had, so it reverted back based on that.

I can probably get a "+" mon easily enough, but if anyone has a save with a ++ mon in it, please PM the save to me with a picture/text describing the pokemon with the ++ trait's other attributes (so that I can find it).

Similarly, if anyone has a mon with multiple traits, sending a save would greatly speed up implementing that

Even though I released a big bunch of Pokemon, I think the game still logs them..

Yeah, deleting pokemon doesn't clear the slot data, but it does enable the slot data to be overwritten by something else later.

You did it wrong. You'd learn how to use SaveDataFilter and deal with CIA.
