Hey everybody!

A friend of mine bought me a used copy of Pokemon Pearl so I can interact with Pokemon Battle Revolution and My Pokemon Ranch (I have a flashcart, so previous to him purchasing Pearl for me, I couldn't connect to the Wii).

Anyway, he bought it from a seller on Amazon and had it shipped to me. He got a pretty good deal on it since it's only the cartridge (no box, no instructions, etc).

Well, when it arrived, I noticed that it has a different label than any other Pokemon Diamond or Pearl cartridges I've seen: Instead of just saying Pokemon Pearl on the cartridge label in big letters, this one is more similar to the box art -- it has a picture of Palkia on it with the Pokemon Pearl logo smaller and to the right. Also, this one's serial number on the cartridge is NTR-AD3P-USA, and the normal Pearl cartridges that I've seen have the serial number NTR-APAE-USA.

It seems to play OK, and I haven't noticed anything weird in-game.

So, what do you guys think? Fake or not?

I can assure you 100% that its fake.

I have few fake Pokemon games myself. I learnd my lesson ages ago, not to buy Pokemon games online. Even if yes, than do not buy it from private sellers, buy it from amazon themselves or other trusted sites.

The cartige wont differ much, other than:
1) You wont be able to use Action Replay with it (as the game has differnt mastercode and etc., even after editing the mastercode and gamecode it wont work).
2) Few issues with GTS(no big ones, but I am sure you guys will notice it)
etc.

Here's a pic, guys:

POKEMON PEARL

I know there are some Pokemon fans out there who collect bootlegs and whatnot. Do you think there's any market for this? I don't expect to make much off it, but I'd love to get rid of it and buy a genuine cartridge.

Why does it have the nintendo seal on it? It's fake, isnt it? Anyway, it might be worth something, as it is a working game. I think it would be worth $20-$40MAX.

Its not worth anything...
Its basically like a flashcard with nand-flash memory of 64 megabytes to fit in the pokemon game.

Those are mostly produced in Singapore and other asian countries..

This one isnt multicart. Yah, but still could be around 15-20 bucks if it was BRAND NEW. YOu cant delete the game from its memory, it boots up the game directly.

Otherwise you could just say, its a copy.

A original PC game could be around 40 bucks. What is its copy worth? 2 bucks?

Well, if it works, just play it...

Or maybe you can sell it just the way you (your friend) bought it....Lie about it

yah Id just play it and enjoy if I were you. I own pokemon diamond (like bought it) and its really fun. Then you can play it with your friends when you finish it!

if it works and onnects to your wii just fine
i don't see any problemo

My troughts. It's doubtlessly fake, but why care ? I had fake pokemon green bought years ago, but game's still working after all those years and I enjoyed it as much as I'd enjoy real one. Altrough I bought it in gaming shop it was fake, and I didn't knew that until maybe year ago or so.

So, don't fix anything not broken. You got a fine, working game.

YEAH had a few fake gba pokemon games LEAF GREEN and FIRE RED both bad engrish hacked fakes the biggest giveaway was it said NINTONDO on the back instead of the obvious NINTENDO

AFAIK the Cycle DS Evolution is one of the few(only?) DS flash carts that the Pokemon Battle Revolution and the DS pokemon games work with...

Also as of the last patch for the Evolution you can mix and match versions with connectivity.
