ROM Hack Question Pokémon Let's Go Mew Unlock

Today I discovered that in the new Pokémon Let's Go games the only way to catch the Pokémon N°151 (Mew) is to buy the accessory released with the game (the Pokéball/Joycon). There is a software way to get the "Secret Gift" inside the game (unlock Mew), without the accessory?

If you have a hacked Switch, I'd recommend you dump your save and wait for PkHex to bring support for Let's Go (which should be Friday according to the devs).

Then you could import a legit Mew into Let's Go without the need of the greed-fueled PokeBall.
If you don't want to hack your Switch, contact someone who has and hasn't been banned yet, so you can trade with him once he imports the legit Mew into his save.

Try to use a software called "Checkpoint".
I believe it's a save manager for the Switch.
Once you manage to dump your save file, simply wait for PkHex's official support for the Let's Go save files, and then you can start editing your Pokemon (and perhaps other stuff too).

Just started off yesterday (Evoli) and got my first badge.
Now I wonder if we only can get Mew legitimately through that stupid Pokéball controller and if yes, if we can get it through LayeredFS or a save editor and if it will be flagged as "hacked" then.

Ive read that it needs a nintendo account and online to redeem Mew, I was planning on picking up a pokeball+ But im concerned about being able to redeem Mew on a banned console

If you legally want Mew, you have to connect to the internet.
But, soon or later we will be able to edit our saves with PKHex and import a legit Poké Ball Plus Mew into our games

Go into your romfs\bin\pokelib\evolution folder, open the file "evo_019.bin" with a Hex Editor and change the Value 0x04 to "97" (additionally change 0x07 to "05" to change the required level from 20 to 5).

That's basically what I did a couple days ago (changed level to 0 though so I could evo whenever)

Here's a .pb7 I found on projectpokemon.org's forums. Apparently "wonder cards" are not stored and are used right away so I'm assuming there's no way to get them without network sniffing and stuff?

I was able to make a "legit" one if you want it. I'm still offline though until i can figure out how to change my start date so I didn't get it legitimately.

I'll give you the Meltan I made, I don't have time to make his EVO right now. You can just evolve him though, lvl 5, only thing is it says it cant match it with its origin, but thats a known bug in PKHeX
